Experience the Wind Ensemble’s Carmina Burana
What is it about consummate composer Carl Orff’s O Fortuna, and most notably the epic cantata Carmina Burana that makes it so powerful and resonating that it’s become a theatrically stapled song for any manner of immensely dramatic or cataclysmic event (most notably in a movie or on a TV show).
The Colorado Wind Ensemble will be performing Orff’s masterpiece four times over the next three months (1x in June and July, 2x in August). Most notably, on Thursday, June 21st at Arvada Centerfest, they will be joined onstage for a joint performance with the incredible Arvada Chorale (they will be performing by themselves(?) at the PACE Center Summer Olympics Tribute - July 13, the Southglenn Library Sounds of Summer and the Curtis Arts & Humanities Center’s Band in the Park with the Colorado Honor Band).
If you’re looking for a fantastic family’s night out event, or a out-of-this-world date night event, or simply one of the Denver classical music concert events of the summer, then a Colorado Wind Ensemble performance of Orff’s Carmina Burana is sure to be just what you’re looking for.
